Aim
This document defines the values and standards expected of all performers and crew working with Dreamboys. The Company's reputation as a leader within the industry is of paramount importance. As such, all individuals must assume they are always under scrutiny and are required to present the highest professional standards at all times while at work.
This document also provides guidance on the structure of our nationwide nightclub shows, together with the rules and regulations required to ensure safe, consistent, and high-quality performances.

Our Values and Standards underpin an ethos of unity and teamwork across all aspects of the Company. You are expected to lead by example, encouraging consistency, professionalism, and enjoyment within your team.

Discipline
Discipline is a defining characteristic of a professional performer. It promotes self-control, builds confidence, and establishes trust. The highest standards of discipline are expected at all times, from punctuality through to delivering a consistently high level of performance.
Respect
You are expected to embody a strong code of respect, for yourself, for your colleagues, and for the audiences you perform for.
Excellence in Performance
Dreamboys is a world-recognised brand known for delivering the highest quality entertainment. Performers are expected to continually demonstrate creativity, imagination, and innovation in order to captivate audiences. Performances must be well-structured, rehearsed, and delivered with pride.
Adaptability
A successful entertainer must be able to adapt to varying situations and environments to ensure performances are delivered flawlessly. Dreamboys operates a variety of shows and roles, making adaptability an essential skill.
Musicality and Movement
Whether performing choreographed routines or solo performances, musicality and movement should always enhance the story being presented. Performers are encouraged to express character creatively and uniquely, showcasing individual strengths and skills.
Nightclub Shows – Running Format
Timings and show format may vary by venue and team
Our weekly nightclub shows require exceptional organisation and performance standards. Team Leaders must ensure consistency across Saturday shows by adhering to the structure below.
Show Schedule and Responsibilities
6:30pm – Briefing and Room Checks
Responsibility: Team Leader
- Conduct the weekly team meeting
- Costume and props health and safety checks
- Stage safety checks, including safe embarkation and disembarkation with audience members
- Confirm stage pass holders and assigned performers
- Check room set-up and assist venue staff if required
7:00pm – Doors Open
Responsibility: Venue Staff
7:00pm to 8:00pm – Guest Arrivals
Responsibility: Host and Drag Queen
- Guestlists checked against tickets
- Stage pass guests issued with a sash
- Guests guided to welcome drink area and reserved seating where applicable
8:00pm to 8:45pm – First Half
Responsibility: Dreamboys, Host, Drag Queen
- Group routine as per choreography
- Drag set
- Solo performances
- Team Leaders to request additional training where required
8:45pm to 9:00pm – Interval
Responsibility: Drag Queen
- Promote social media and encourage audience tagging
9:00pm to 9:30pm – Second Half
Responsibility: Drag Queen and Dreamboys
- Drag set
- Solo routines
- Finale
- Promotion of social media, meet and greet, and after party
9:30pm to 10:00pm – Meet and Greet and Photos
Responsibility: Team Leader
- Full team attendance is mandatory
- Team Leaders to ensure smooth operation and correct dress standards
10:00pm – Clear Down
Responsibility: Team Leader
- All used areas must be left clean and tidy
Appearance
Dreamboys are expected to exceed standard expectations of male presentation and grooming. Hair, facial hair, and body hair must be maintained to a high standard. You must present as sexy, athletic, appealing, and well-groomed at all times, with excellent hygiene and cleanliness.
Unless hosting, performers should remain backstage and away from the audience until the show begins.
Dress Code – Dancers and Hosts
Meet and Greet and Photo Opportunities
You must always bring the following items:
- Smart black jeans (opening routine and meet and greet)
- Smart, clean black shoes or trainers
- White or black boxers
- Hosts must be topless for arrivals
- All performers must be topless for meet and greets and photos
- Issued Dreamboys merchandise may be worn while interacting with guests where appropriate
Arrivals – Hosts
- All guests must be greeted by a topless Dreamboy host, unless arrivals are handled by the venue
- Hosts may be dedicated or combined with a team member role
- Team Leaders must provide hosts with accurate guestlists
- Guestlists are emailed to Team Leaders and Club Management on Friday evening and again one hour before the show
- Guests without tickets must be directed to book online via www.dreamboys.co.uk/clubs
- Guests with valid tickets but not on the list due to late booking must be admitted
- Guests must be informed the show is 18+, contains nudity, and that photography and filming are prohibited
- Guests must be given venue-specific information including bar location, toilets, complimentary drinks, and reserved seating
Customer Interaction – Hosts and Dancers
All Dreamboys must be charming, engaging, and professional at all times. Effective communication is essential to delivering a positive customer experience.
- Maintain eye contact, smile, and be polite
- Make each customer feel valued and respected
- Encourage conversation while remaining professional
- Do not focus attention on one individual or group
- Direct all social media requests to official Dreamboys channels
The Following Will Not Be Tolerated
- Offensive language
- Alcohol consumption
- Drug use
- Overly personal interactions
- Aggressive behaviour
- Poor attendance or punctuality
- Bad manners
- Disruption to the team or show
Breaches may result in immediate suspension, payment deductions, or termination of engagement.
Costumes and Props
All costumes and props must be self-assessed for safety prior to use. If unsure, consult your Team Leader.
Considerations include:
- No sharp edges
- No heavy items
- Costumes removed on stage or in the audience must be removed at least 1 metre back
- Performers are responsible for retrieving costumes or delegating collection
- Be aware of customer potential allergens when considering prop use (such as but not limited to; whipped cream, body lotion, marshmallows etc)
Use of Liquids on Stage
- Liquids must be kept to a minimum
- Prevent liquids from being left on the floor
- Use towels or absorbent mats in advance if required
- Stages must be dried before other performers enter
Audience Participation and Stage Conduct
At the start of the show, the Drag Queen will announce to audience members to clearly raise their hands at relevant parts of the show to indicate their willingness to participate.
Participation must always be voluntary and respectful.
- Never pull or force anyone on stage
- Offer your hand and proceed only if accepted
- If declined, move on immediately
- Be mindful that participants may change their mind
Process for Inviting Audience Members
- Identify participants clearly raising their hands
- Offer your hand and escort them safely via the approved route
- Consider clothing at all times
- Never carry participants wearing dresses or skirts
No Audience Participation When Using a Flag or Fully Nude
- Performers must remain on stage at all times
- Breaches will result in a £50 pay deduction and disciplinary action
- Not all venues permit full nudity. Confirm with your Team Leader
BANNED MOVES
To ensure the safety, comfort, and dignity of all customers, the following actions are strictly prohibited at all times, regardless of intent, context, or whether the action is meant humorously or comedically.
The following behaviours are not permitted under any circumstances:
- Grabbing, holding, or placing hands on a customer's face at any time
- Thrusting into a customer at random, or deliberately thrusting into any part of a customer's body or face
- Thrusting must NEVER be directed toward a customer's face under any circumstances
- Any action that imitates, implies, or fakes placing a hand down your (the performer's) trousers, underwear, or clothing, including gestures intended as a joke or comedic moment> to this
These restrictions apply during performances, audience participation, meet and greets, photo opportunities, and any other interaction with customers.
Any performer found to be in breach of this section will face disciplinary action, which may include immediate removal from the show, deduction from payment, suspension, or termination of engagement.
Respect for personal boundaries is fundamental to the Dreamboys brand and must be upheld at all times.
Roles and Responsibilities
Team Leader
The Team Leader has overall responsibility for the event, including briefings, coordination, and acting as the primary contact for incidents or issues.
Hosts
Hosts are the first point of contact for customers and must create a welcoming and professional first impression. Responsibilities include guest greeting, ticket checks, seating, opening routines, and team support.
Dancers
Dancers must deliver high-quality, well-rehearsed performances, maintain immaculate grooming and costumes, uphold professional boundaries, and support the team and Team Leader at all times.
Drag Queen
Drag Queens must deliver engaging, rehearsed sets, announce rules and audience participation guidance, introduce and close performances, promote social media, and communicate event details. They must support the Team Leader and team throughout the event.
Rehearsals
All performers are required to attend a minimum of one rehearsal day per year, led by choreographer Jordan Darrell. Rehearsals will typically take place at your resident venue, with efforts made to accommodate availability where possible.
Cover
Performers are expected to be available for all show dates listed at www.dreamboys.co.uk/clubs. If unable to perform, you must arrange suitable cover if a host cannot step in. Not all hosts are performers, so advance planning is essential.
Stage Passes
Stage passes guarantee selected guests participation during designated moments.
- Stage pass holders are marked on weekly guestlists
- Team Leaders will confirm numbers during the briefing
- Stage pass guests receive a flower garland, pink Dreamboys sash, or agreed alternative
- Hosts are responsible for distribution unless handled by the venue
- All stage passes must be issued before the show begins
Boy In Your Booth Bookings
At selected venues, a Boy In Your Booth package is offered.
- This role is assigned to the host
- Additional £50 payment applies
- Responsibilities include table service, drinks assistance, and dedicated guest interaction
Brand Visibility and Collaboration
Dreamboys works with a dedicated PR team to generate engaging content. Performers are encouraged to support brand visibility by using @dreamboys tags on Instagram and promoting events and appearances.
Breaches
Any breach of the guidelines, values, standards, rules, or regulations outlined in this document may result in a £50 pay deduction and disciplinary action.
Invoicing
Invoices are paid monthly at the end of each calendar month and must itemise all work undertaken.

All Invoices Must Include Your Public Liability Insurance policy number and provider
Invoices will not be paid without this information. While the Company holds its own PLI policy, it is a condition of working with Dreamboys that all contractors maintain their own PLI cover. This can be obtained inexpensively online and is often included with Equity membership.
